Allied Cemetery and War Musuem

Celebrating 25 Years of tour excellence

Close to the symbolic bridge over the River Kwai, the Thailand-Burma Railway Centre is a museum that documents the history of the railway, the suffering of the thousands of POWs and conscripted Asian labourers who worked of the railway and the railway after completion using informative video footage, models and displays. Next door is the Allied War Cemetery, beautifully maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, where you’ll find the graves of 6,982 POWs – half British and the rest mainly from Australia and the Netherlands.
