Ingapirca

Celebrating 25 Years of tour excellence

Ingapirca, meaning Inca Wall in Kichwa is an archaeological complex only 80kms north of Cuenca. It is one of Ecuador's hidden treasures and largest Incan ruins in the country.

The highlight of the complex is most definitely the sun Temple. The round structure is still clearly visible and allows a glimpse into the unique and precise Inca construction technique. Remnants of ceremonial baths, grain storage areas and agricultural terraces can be found here also.

Also, just 20 mins walk from the site you can view the natural rock formation known as Cara Del Inca (Inca Face). Ingapirca is definitely worth a visit if you are travelling near Cuenca.
