Chongqing Zoo and Panda House

Visit Chongqing Zoo on a holiday to China

Celebrating 25 Years of tour excellence

Better known as a resident of neighbouring Sichuan province, the Giant Panda has made a place for itself in Chongqing. Located just outside the city centre, Chongqing Zoo includes the Panda House, a dwelling for China’s most popular bear. Designed to resemble the rock caves and bamboo groves of their native Sichuan Mountains, at the Panda House you can watch the pandas doing what they do best - chomping through great piles of bamboo and romping around with their fellows.

Chongqing Zoo is also home to a number of other animals, including giraffes, gorillas, elephants, kangaroos plus some more unusual additions such as the South China tiger and yakin.
