Yerevan

Celebrating 25 Years of tour excellence

The largest city and capital of Armenia is situated along Hrazdan River. It is one of the world’s oldest inhabited cities, 29 years older than Rome. One can expect exceptional hospitality, a remarkable ambiance with generous portions of food and wine.

Traditional dishes include dolma – grape leaves filled with meat, or perhaps try lavash – thin wood-fired bread.

Spectacular views on Mount Ararat can be seen from Zwartnots temple, and The Cascade, a giant limestone staircase links downtown Ketron to the Monument neighbourhood. This city has over 50 museums, a National Gallery that features rare works of the famous Armenian painter Ivan Aivazovsky or learn about the genocide and its aftermath at the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute.

The 10 metro stations will certainly capture your attention. Ornately decorated, walls covered in marble with many sculptures and paintings.

Don’t forget to try their national drink - brandy - at the Ararat Museum, pairing it with chocolate to fuse the flavours and a shopping stop at the markets to find that one-of-a-kind souvenir before you leave.
